3/9/2026 - Power packed Shumali Kashmir Homestay Conclave Today at Roshan Mustaqbil Kupwara.

Shumali Kashmir Homestay Conclave, was held at Roshan Mustaqbil, Kupwara, bringing together representatives and stakeholders to discuss the potential of homestays and tourism in North Kashmir. The conclave focused on strengthening the homestay ecosystem, improving hospitality practices and creating greater awareness around the opportunities associated with the Shumali Kashmir Initiative. The Shumali Kashmir Homestay Conclave was organized in collaboration, and under guidance of District Administration Kupwara and Roshan Mustaqbil, and implemented by Lakshyaa.

The programme commenced with registration and networking, followed by opening remarks. The opening session provided an opportunity for participants to connect and engage around the broader objective of promoting Shumali Kashmir as a tourism destination.

Team highlighted the efforts undertaken by Lakshyaa Impact Foundation across India to promote Shumali Kashmir. The session also outlined the way forward for strengthening engagement around the initiative.

Process of registration of homestays under the Shumali Kashmir Initiative and discussed the potential of homestays and tourism in North Kashmir was explained. The session highlighted the importance of structured participation and preparedness among homestay owners and other local stakeholders.

The conclave also featured a case study of Pathan Valley Homestay, providing participants with practical insights from an existing homestay in North Kashmir. 

The formal programme concluded with guiding remarks by GOC, 28 Infantry Division.
